Mammals
This site has information on more than 100 different kinds of animals.  Each link contains basic information:  a black-and-white picture, where the animal lives, it's habitat and eating habits.

Animal Land
The Animal Encyclopedia covers 26 animals each dealing with a different letter of the alphabet. Another sections addresses issues that may be harmful to animals around the world.

Endangered Species
Through yahoo.com, there are dozens of sites related to endangered animals across the planet.

Good information written for students in the intermediate grades.  Lots of facts and statistics.

The Nine Planets
By far, this site has the best and largest close-up pictures of any site on the solar system.  It has lots of statistics, too.  Some of the information is at a high school reading level.

5th Grade State Report The 50 States
This site has a ton of state facts in alphabetical order such as:  admission date, bird, economy, flower, history, motto, population, sports teams, and much more.
